I wrote the HTML, CSS, Javascript and PHP for this custom WordPress theme for MuchMore.ca (re-branded from Much More Music). This project involved using WordPress as a full site CMS rather than just a blog platform. The site even features a blog within a blog (Daily Fix).
I cut the XHTML and CSS for this massive Much Music Video Award site. Some highlights include sponsor pop ups in the header, a custom javascript rotator on the home page, skinned sponsor pages, and secure voting pages.
I cut the HTML & CSS and turned it into a custom WordPress theme for the Much Music blog. The site was designed by Nick Fox. We had to import all of the old content from a very old Movable Type install; no easy task since we had to maintain SEO as the blog receives tens of thousands of page views some days.
I cut the HTML and CSS for this collection of customizable Much Music show pages all based on the same basic layout.
A custom WordPress theme for MuchMusic’s The New Music. Designed by Nick Fox, this theme includes a heavily customized home page that displays several posts in a variety of different ways rather than the usual 10 blog posts and a “previous posts” link.
A custom WordPress theme designed by Alan Smith of The Movement and turned into a WordPress theme using standards compliant CSS, XHTML and some PHP black magic (really just if statements.. shhhh). Some highlights include a different home page template, different colour highlights for each category and a totally different work category layout. Visit Rahaf’s site or click “Read the rest of this entry” to see some screen shots.
A custom WordPress skin created for the power pop band Love You To Death. I did all of the HTML and CSS, I also laid it all out and created the background images. I did everything but the logo. Love You To Death website.
A re-build and re-skin of the Much Music countdown lists. Fans could create and rate lists about anything. The list with the highest ratings won a trip. The back end is ASP.NET and the design was done by Patty Ho. I cut the mock into standards compliant CSS & XHTML. Everything is vertically fluid to allow for user generated content. The screen shots don’t do it justice, and the razors in the top left corner are a flash piece that rotates between colours of razors, that’s why it looks weird sometimes.
A re-design of a website for a private school in Oakville. Not the hardest thing ever but it did have to look EXACTLY like the Photoshop mocks. The home page includes a fancy menu that changes transparency when hovered and works cross browser.
A WordPress powered website for singer/songwriter Ryan Masters. Full of awesome plugins for a photo gallery, an audio/video player, an event calendar and an online store. Ryan Masters Website
