The problem is that it is Ontario. Blue is by far the best public place to ride in the area. Save your money and go out west or even to Newfoundland’s Marble mountain.

My school is going there for a trip. Should i go? My friends said it was fun.
I want to go downhill skiing.

Sounds brutal and familiar. Blue Mountain lifts are just as bad. It fits your desciption and these lifts carry six people — imagine the havoc.

I am an intermediate to advanced snowboarder and almost sustained a concussion banging my head coming off the lift and just a few runs later injured my leg coming off the same lift. The worst is that the ski instructors stand with the group kids in front of the lift when they get off — this happened twice.

All of this in on short afternoon of riding! I will not go back. Heading to Lake Louise in March and can’t wait.

I agree, Horeshoe’s kinda lame (short & slow) but I did like the quasi-beginner rails & pipe. Blue always seems too busy/intimidating. Too bad about the Atomic demos, that’s what I was searching when I ended up here.

Not only are the blue & black runs at Blue Mountain more intimidating, but they also have more than two green runs. The “main” green run was flat, and the other was all intertwined with the blue & black runs by the Highrider chair. (there probably are actually more than 2 green runs, but it would be nice for them to make a “beginner’s area” so that the mess can stay out of my awesome way! ahahah)
